LET'S GET LITerature (that is...) is your new home!
You see I've always loved books that are either written by female authors who inspire me or feature strong, complex, amazing women as characters - think Jane Austen, Katniss Everdeen, Harper Lee, Offred, Di Morrissey, Lisbeth Salander... you get it.
Over the years I have been part of many book clubs, but never one that focused on inspirational women - authors or characters - who makes us feel strong and inspired.
So, I decided to start my own!
Let's Get Lit is designed for women looking for great books and a warm bookish tribe to join.
The club is free to join and we will read books available on Kindle Unlimited (KU) so there is no cost to acquire our monthly reads for anyone who is a KU member.
The calendar is simple.
Third Week of the Month
On the third week of each month the first five members who nominate a book will create the voting list in our private Facebook Group.
For one week members can vote on their favourite.
The most popular will become our book of the month.
Last Week of the Month
On the last week of the month, we meet via Zoom to pour a drink, get some snacks, and discuss.
** ZOOM book chat will be held on Wednesday evenings, 7pm Australian Eastern Standard Time **
Simple!
Members are also free to chat and discuss the book at any time in the FB group - but no spoilers!
